When I've played with the Pinnacle folks at gaming conventions, everyone I've played with (Teller, Clint Black, John Goff) does the same thing when a Joker gets played - they hand the deck with a benny to a player to shuffle. This is actually pretty important to game play, to get Jokers out onto the table and make sure every draw has a chance at a Joker. You may also want a third deck on hand for miscellaneous uses (I don't actually think Weird West uses cards this way, but a number of SW settings use a deck of cards as a random generator for encounters, NPCs, loot, etc.)Īs for shuffling, you only shuffle after a Joker is played - the Joker and all discards get shuffled back into the deck. A Huckster's player should have their own deck of cards.
You should have a dedicated deck for Action Cards (initiative).
