The first time I went the wait time was again close to 4 hours !!!! Whether you are buying or picking up a weapon that is already purchased the wait is the same !?!? IT WAS NOT UNTIL APRIL THAT I COULD WALK IN AND NOT HAVE TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR TO BE WAITED ON.
I went multiple times in December and then in January and got tired of waiting each time so I left. So I left and bought it online from Cabellas for $25 less but it was only a fleeting victory over the crowds as I still had to visit the local Cabellas store to pick up the weapon. In the store you take a number at firearms counter and wait to be called on I noticed some clients were sitting on displays playing cards. I arrived early to beat the crowds, what a joke there was still a 4 hour wait to buy a firearm by 8am that day. I went to my local store to buy a pistol last year on Black Friday. For those coveting a new firearm for the holidays I want to give a cautionary tale about Cabellas.
